KRN is a CA. 501(c) non-profit corporation comprised of physicians, psychologists, researchers, scholars, therapists and other individuals who have had personal and/or professional experiences with Kundalini awakening. This international organization promotes and encourages research and occasionally offers educational conferences related to Kundalini, and other spiritual states of consciousness.

One of their primary goals is to bring the findings of their research to the scientific and medical communities, to therapists and to people undergoing Kundalini experiences, in order to facilitate and make more understandable this often complex and profound process. Since its founding in 1990, the Network has welcomed interested individuals from around the world. It is not restricted to any religious tradition or spiritual discipline. It is managed by an unpaid board of directors and advisors, who hold occasional conferences open to all interested, and plan occasional regional meetings. Tapes from their conferences, and a copy of their 1998 conference proceedings, "Understanding Kundalini: Quantum Evolution for the New Millennium"... held October 15-18, 1998, in Norcross, GA, are sometimes available.
